My general research topic is portraying human minds in film. I will be using the film A Beautiful Mind which deals with paranoid schizophrenia. I've heard about the film, but I never got around to seeing it. This will be my chance to really analyze this movie and see a different spin on how Ron Howard portrays schizophrenia.

Welcome to My Blog

This is my first blog for Eng 103. My name is Brenda Ramos, I currently live in Brooklyn. I consider myself an introvert but that is something I am working on changing. I am very interested in becoming a forensics physiologist although I have to be one hundred percent sure that it what I truly want. I know that working in that field is overwhelming, but I like challenging myself especially when I find a personal connection. I love films with heavy emotions especially when there is a character I see myself as. I have a couple favorite book but one of my all time favorite has to be The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom. I find myself as both a optimist and a pessimist when it comes to technology because I've seen some amazing ideas become a part of everyday life but with that there are some negative factors. I feel some people are pessimists about technology because errors can happen which bring fear. Some people feel uncomfortable with clones and robots walking around living in the same community because it will mean humans aren't the highest intelligent species. Nothing is certain with technology but than again we can say that about everything else.
